His problem solving ability made him win the award of best MLA of A.P.Started his political career at an young age of 21 he had been elected as Municipal Corporator in the year 1986 from Akberbagh of Malakpet.His services have been well recognized by former CM YS Rajesekhar Reddy who in turn elevated him as HMDA Chairman which is a cabinet rank position. He did serve the post from 2004-2009.The tenure as an MLA of L.B.Nagar from 2009 – 2014 has been very successful with 1008,61,30,546 crores of funds were sanctioned and fully utilized for L.B. Journo : Can you elaborate about the award of Best MLA of A.P

DSR : Best MLA Award was being accorded by Shining India & EK Mulakat organization

Journo : What are the parameters to give away such an hounor ?
DSR: There are varius parameters which Shining India & EK Mulakat organization have considered and the prominent points being..

a)   Corruption Free

b)   MLA availability to common people

c)   How MLA raised local problems in Assembly and solved them

This was research / Survey done by above mentioned organizations on 294 MLAs of Andhra Pradesh and finally DSR has been stood as front runner and Best MLA award was given away to me.

Journo: What are your Election Promises to Constituency People?

DSR: a) Providing facilities like Drinking water & Underground Drainage system in all colonies on priority basis

b) With severe projected power crisis in Telangana we try and set up another 5 substation in the constituency to cater to the electricity needs of people for another 40 years. These projects would cost 535 crores.

c) Roads, Community halls, Extra classes in government schools, toilets etc amenities will be made available extra funds will be infused to improve them

d) L.B.Nagar has one government hospital now to meet the requirements of 10 lacs people in and around the constituency. We try to set up 2 more government hospitals in the constituency. one we are planning in Nandanavanam slum while the other in Nagole.We are trying for trying for more Primary health centers also.

Journo: What are your Promises for Minorities in the constituencies?

DSR: We will try and get loans for unemployed youth from Minorities Finance Corporation. We also encourage them get jobs from Rajeev Yuvakiranalu.Minimum amenities will be provides in all minorities dwelling areas.

Journo: Who is your competitor in the elections?

DSR: TDP

Journo:TDP candidate is a president of BC Welfare society..how will you face him?

DSR:He is non local candidate and have not much geographical knowledge to understand the problems of people..More importantly we gave high priority for BCs in the constituency. Out of 8 Municipal divisions we gave 4 divisions for BCs which are non reserved and general seats. So BC are with us.

Journo: Your winning expectations?

DSR: I am expecting 15,000 – 25,000 majority on my rival candidate
